Nexus Between Urbanization, Industrialization, Natural Resources Rent, and Anthropogenic Carbon Emissions in South Asia: CS-ARDL Approach
نویسندگان
چکیده
Rapid population growth and economic expansion affect environmental sustainability by raising emissions from increased urbanization, industrialization, energy consumption in South Asia. Therefore, the current research aims to scrutinize dynamic impacts of on carbon dioxide (CO2) five Asian countries (Bangladesh, Pakistan, India, Nepal, Sri Lanka) under umbrella famous stochastic regression for impact technology, population, asset condition (STIRPAT) model. This employed second-generation unit root cointegration tests applying data 1972 2021 investigate existence slope heterogeneity (SH) cross-sectional dependence (CSD) problem. After checking CSD, SH, root, tests, utilized autoregressive distributive lag (CS-ARDL) as a baseline model augmented mean group (AMG), (MG), common correlated effects (CCEMG) robustness check. The evidence shows that boom, industrialization increase CO2 emissions. nations have been reduced due growth, natural resources rent, electrification. All estimators point urbanization’s negative effects, being far more severe than any other impact. Conversely, resource rent prevents degradation effectively electricity. it is recommended economies adopt consistent, sustainable policies reap benefits electricity use. findings are generally consistent with policy implications.

Industrialization, Urbanization, and Land Use in China
Rapid industrial development and urbanization transfer more and more land away from agricultural production, threatening China’s capability to feed itself. This paper analyzes the determinants of land use by modeling arable land and sown area separately. An inverse U-shaped relationship between land use intensity and industrialization is explored both theoretically and empirically. The findings...
